Being Notorious

Making waves in our industry.

An independent burger group from Kent. We started on Castle Street in Canterbury in 2019 and now cook in four places, with the same food and the same way of doing things.

Born in Canterbury

Seriously good fast food. No shortcuts.

We want you to have the freshest, most indulgent fast food experience possible, without compromising on quality.

That means locally sourced, grass-fed, Red Tractor-assured beef, local sausage, free-range chicken and our very own house-made sauces. Our whole menu is available vegan, our kitchens run on green energy and our packaging is compostable. It also means looking after the people who cook for you.

Our story

One shop,
then four

From a small takeaway on Castle Street to four kitchens across Kent, with a truck and a few adventures along the way.

What we stand for

Good burgers,
done decently.

We're conscious of how the food we eat affects the planet, and of how hospitality treats its people. So this is how we run things.

The whole menu, vegan

Our whole menu is available vegan, from the Notorious VEG burger to our vegan "duck" fries, and every burger can be made veggie or vegan. Nobody gets stuck with a side salad.

Real ingredients

Locally sourced, grass-fed, Red Tractor-assured beef, local sausage, free-range chicken, and sauces we make ourselves. Shorter journeys, better food.

Green energy only

Our kitchens run on green energy only, supplied by SSE.

Compostable packaging

Our food containers are made from sugar cane and our cutlery from birch wood. It's all compostable, so eating on the go doesn't have to cost the earth.

Flexible schedules

We offer flexible working patterns, which can include four-day weeks. Hospitality needs reform, and this is our part in it.
